Richard Comeau

Richard Comeau, of Detroit Lakes, formerly of Staples, died peacefully at home in Detroit Lakes, on Friday, November 2, 2007. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, November 6, at 2:00 PM in Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, with Pastor Robert St. Clair officiating. Family will receive friends one hour before the service starting at 1:00 pm at the Brenny Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Home of Staples.
Richard Lawrence Comeau was born to Lloyd and Margaret (Sherman) Comeau on January 2, 1931 in Minneapolis, MN. He was united in marriage to Darlene Almquist on January 31, 1956. They lived and worked in Minneapolis, than moved to a Hobby Farm near Oylen and later moved to Staples. When Darlene passed away Richard moved to Detroit Lakes with his daughters family, Anna and Tim Gerving.

Richard is survived by five daughters, Christine (Rick) Myers of PA, Brenda (Chet) Woods, Minneapolis, Ruth Comeau (Jeff), Morristown, Anna (Tim) Gerving, Detroit Lakes, Pamela (Randy) Novotny, Morristown; 2 sons, David (Sue), Vernadale, Raymond of Detroit Lakes; 29 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Madeline of Seattle, WA; 2 brothers Allan of Kempner, TX and Tyrone. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and a sister Charlotte.
