Richard Cameron

Richard Bruce Cameron, Jr. passed away peacefully at home in Brainerd, MN on August 16, 2013. Rich was born on August 1, 1956, in Minneapolis, MN to Richard Sr. and Kathlean Cameron.

He lived in Minneapolis until the family relocated to Pequot Lakes his sophomore year. He graduated from Pequot Lakes High School and attended the Staples Vo-Tech where he received a certificate in machining. Rich was proud to own his own aluminum mold company for a number of years and most recently was employed at Lakeland Mold Company as a production planner. He was known for his attention to detail and always strived for perfection no matter what he was doing.

Rich married his wife Lori on July 14, 2007. He loved to travel and they spent many wonderful vacations in Mexico and took several road trips around Minnesota and also traveled to Colorado, Oregon, and Washington. Rich enjoyed reading and doing stained glass. He loved taking long walks, always looking for rocks or seashells to collect along the way. He loved riding his motorcycle. He liked keeping busy and spent many hours remodeling their house. Most of all, he loved spending time with family, especially time at " the camping house" with his grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Lori; daughter, Jessica (RJ) Cameron-Ruud; son, Ryan (Brittany) Cameron; step-daughters, Brittany, Erika, and Caitlyn Kohl; step-son, Alex Rohde; grandchildren, Gavin and Madelyn; his parents, Richard and Kathlean Cameron Sr.; siblings, Terri (Jim Spielman) and David (Sue) Cameron; his in-laws, Kenny and Vicki Zenk; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 22nd at 1:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. Friends and family are invited to gather Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel and also one hour prior to services. Refreshments will be served following the service at Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room. A private family interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
