Richard Bye

Richard "Dick" Evans Bye, 84, of Remer, MN passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00AM at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Longville, MN with visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Church address is 4905 State Highway 84 Longville, MN. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Longville, MN.

Dick was born October 11, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN to Earl and Edith (Honisch) Bye. Dick and his wife (of over 60 years), Cathy lived in Minnetonka, MN before retiring to their home on Upper Trelipe Lake in Remer, MN in 1992. Dick enjoyed their church, cribbage, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He cherished visits with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Dick will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dick is survived by his children; Gary (Sally), Nancy (John) Lawson, Thomas (Linda Carter), Daniel (Pam), Jeffrey (Nancy), Janice Aziz, Steven (Mary), Carol (Dan) Groenke, John (Tracy); brother, Kenneth; 25 grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Edith; his wife, Catherine; and brother, Frank. Memorials are preferred to American Heart Association or Minnesota Deer Hunters Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN.
