Rhonda Sorg

Rhonda Ann Sorg, 48, of Pine River passed away Monday, June 7, 2010 near Pine River. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Riverview Tabernacle Church in Pine River. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 pm at the Kline Funeral Home of Pine River.


Rhonda Ann Richards was born September 27, 1961 in Brainerd the daughter of Ronald and Sharon (Larsen) Richards. She grew up and graduated high school in Pine River. She worked for Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Nursing Home for over 20 years and also for Brookside Comfort Care in Pine River. Rhonda married Kenneth Sorg March 19, 1983 at the Mildred Bible Chapel near Backus.


She enjoyed her grandchildren, watching birds and gardening.


Rhonda is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Pine River; daughters, Heather (Anthony) Turner of Pine River and Alyssa Sorg of St. Joseph; father, Ronald (Becky) Richards, Sr of Backus; mother, Sharon Richards of Pine River; brothers, Ronald Richards Jr and fiancé Bonnie, Kevin Richards and Kyle (Lena) all of Backus; step-sister, Jodi (Victor) Bramman of Dover, PA; grandchildren, Eli Turner and Jarred Swenson of Pine River, her paternal grandmother, Madeline Richards of Staples and by several other relatives and close friends.


She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Lester Richards; maternal grandparents, Elra and Dorothea Larsen; step-mother, Peggy Richards and by a half-sister, Krista Richards.
