Reuben Judd

Reuben was born on April 9, 1913 in Moran Township, Minnesota, to William and Ethel (Young) Judd. He grew up there and attended school through the tenth grade. On November 16, 1935 he was united in marriage to Irene Judd at a ceremony in Staples and they spent 72 years together until Irenes passing in 2007. Rueben worked for the Staples School District for over 40 years, retiring as the Transportation Director for the buses. Reuben was very active in the community, serving on the Villard Town Board, the Hospital Board, and was the Head Elder at the 7th Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed farming, fishing, snowmobiling, traveling, and camping. Reuben was preceded in death by his wife, Irene; son, Ivan; grandson, Brian Chaffee; two brothers; and three sisters. He will be missed by his children, Patricia Judd of Staples, Barbara (Miles) Chaffee of Staples, Wayne (Audrey) Judd of Roseville CA, and Alan (Shirley) Judd of Browerville; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
