Rebecca Martinson

Rebecca Joy Martinson, 56, of Staples, MN went home to Jesus on June 22, 2014. A Celebration of Life for Rebecca will be held at Thomastown Covenant Church in Staples, MN on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Nathan Hillman officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather from 10:00 AM until the time of service for visitation. Interment will be at Thomastown Covenant Church Cemetery.

Rebecca was born June 27, 1957 to Harold and Joyce (Johnson) Moffett in Minneapolis, MN. Becky graduated from Staples High School in 1975 and also graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Psychology degree from Bemidji State University in 1979. Becky married Dean Martinson in August of 1980. They lived in Austin, MN prior to their moving to Staples in 1999.
She loved her Lord and she loved people. Becky always put others first, especially her family. She loved being a Grandma! Becky had a passion for antiques, politics and her work as a Foster Grandparent Supervisor. Becky will be tremendously missed by all who knew her.

Becky is survived by her husband, Dean; son, Seth (Karen) Martinson and grandson Jacob of Sauk Centre, MN; daughter Inga (Josh) Odden and grandson Riley of Hutchinson, MN; parents, Harold and Joyce Moffett of Staples, MN; three brothers, Dave (Babs) Moffett of Bemidji, MN, Mike (Beth) Moffett of St. Cloud, MN, Mark (Donna) Moffett of Bloomington, MN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
