Raymond Ruhl, age 83, of Pine River, passed away Monday, July 19, 2010, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center, Pine River. He was born November 9, 1926, in Pine River, to John and Frances Ruhl.
Raymond served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in the Pacific Theatre. He was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad and was a member of the Backus American Legion and the Jenkins VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; daughters: Colletta Ryan, Nancy Beth Ruhl; grandchildren: Kimberly Woodford, Stephanie Marie Rabe; great grandchildren: Colton, Ashlea, Dayne, Payten; brothers: John Ruhl (Thelma), Franklin Ruhl, Milo Ruhl (Dee), William Ruhl (Karen); sisters: Mary Jean Manos, Frances Stowman, and Delores Genosky (Jim).
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David; brothers, Charles and Robert Ruhl; sisters: Geneveive Peters, Doris Bourassa, Ann Hoeft, and Geraldine Dopkins.
Services will be 11 AM on Monday, July 26, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River, with Pastor Bonnie Lomen officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 6 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River and one hour prior to the service.
