Raymond Olson

Raymond Edward Olson, age 85, of Pine River, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at his home. He was born in Loon Lake Township, Cass County, on November 20, 1931. Ray served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Darlene Schmidt in 1953 and was a devoted husband to her for 64 years. Ray loved the woods and enjoyed hunting and cutting firewood. He was a people person who loved to visit with everyone. Ray was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Pequot Lakes American Legion and the Jenkins VFW.

Ray is survived by his wife, Darlene; children: Danny Ray Olson (Wanda), Colleen Ott, Doreen Robideau (David); 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Monday, May 22, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Pequot Lakes. Visitation will begin at 10 AM and funeral service at 11 AM. A luncheon will follow the service. Committal service with military honors will be 1:30 PM at Kedron Cemetery, rural Pequot Lakes.
