Raymond Cowan

Raymond Junior Cowan, age 71, passed away June 3, 2021, at his home in Pequot Lakes, MN. He was born Sept 30, 1949, to Pearl and Anna Jane (Sleeth) Cowan. He was a retired Vietnam War Army veteran and spent most of his adult life travelling the country as an OTR truck driver. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting, fishing, and spending time with his large family. Ray married his bride Carolyn (Mills) Feb 29, 1972 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes. Together they have 5 daughters.

Ray is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn (Mills) Cowan; children: Susan (Hubert) Schnoor, Bobbie (Gary) Drake, Melinda (Darren) White, Jenny (Warren) Schnoor, Jessica (Jake) Rarick; 14 grandchildren; siblings: Doris Olson, Joann Richards, Jerry (Linda) Cowan, and Joyce (Larry) Campbell.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Anna Jane Cowan; siblings: Helen, Elna, Bobby and Donnie Cowan; and great-grandchildren, Willow and Ivory Clews.

Visitation will be at 1 pm on June 12, 2021, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes followed by the service at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Pine River.
