Ray Wickham

Ray L. Wickham, 81, of Brainerd, died at his home Monday, October 22, 2012. Services for Ray will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are welcome to gather Thursday evening from 5-7 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel. Luncheon will follow in the Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room.

Ray was born July 9, 1931, in Brainerd, MN, the son of Frank and Zelma (Strong) Wickham. He was united in marriage to Dora Hedlund on July 10, 1951. For over 42 years, Ray worked at Potlatch before retiring in 1990. He moved to Terry, MT for five years where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and picking agates. When he returned to the Brainerd Lakes Area and he went to work at Anderson Brothers for 10 years. Ray was a charter member of Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union, Charter # 3. He liked woodworking, crafts and making jewelry.

Ray will be missed by his wife, Dora; his children, Dennis (Denise) Wickham, of Backus, Barry (Peggy) Wickham, of Merrifield, Jeff (Dianne) Wickham, of Brainerd, and Rita (Scott) Russell, of DeWitt, IA; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
