Randy Plante

Randy Kenneth Plante, 67, of Pequot Lakes, passed away October 11, 2019, at Iowa City VA Hospital. He was born December 15, 1951 to Kenneth and Donna (Pickar) Plante.

Randy grew up in Fort Ripley and graduated from Little Falls High School in 1969. He was united in marriage to Mary L. Plante in 1970. Randy was in the Army from 1971-1973 and was stationed in Germany. He then served in the National Guard until approximately 1986. He was employed at Ford Motor Co. in St. Paul from 1969-1987 as a Trim Supervisor. After retirement the family moved to Pequot Lakes where he enjoyed boating, fishing and his John Deere Tractors.

Randy is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Jason Plante (Kris) and Nate Plante (Nichole); daughter, Tonya Krause; his grandchildren: Sylvia Plante, Heather Plante , Nicole Landon and Kyler Krause; great granddaughter, Olive Landon; mother, Donna Plante; siblings: Diane Hoheisel (Kenny), Karen Simon (Ernie), Judy Brill (Joe), Roxanne Matsen (Randy Norcutt), Joe Plante (Maggie), Charlene Osvold, Brenda Plante and Kristie Plante. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilfred and Viola Plante and Leo and Marion Pickar; and father, Kenneth Plante.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM on Tuesday, October 22, at St. Alice Catholic Church, Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.
