Randall F. Sturm, age 60, of Nisswa, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at his home. He was born to Ronald and Alva Sturm on March 18, 1956, in Colorado Springs, CO. Randy was a snowmobile and motorcycle racing mechanic for over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and motorcycling. After Randy was diagnosed late in 2012 he decided to live life to the fullest. He took a cross country motorcycle trip along Route 66 to California to visit his sister, went on an elk hunt in Colorado with his son where they both shot bull elks and got to watch his son, who he was so proud of, participate in the 2015 Winter X Games.
Randy is survived by his wife, Judy, and son, Colton, both of Nisswa; brother, Mark Sturm (Mary) of Rhinelander, WI; and sister, Paula Miller (Dick) of Danville, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jake.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 7 from 2 to 4 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes.
