Randall Mielke

Randall H. Mielke age 63, of Staples, passed away at St. Benedict's Senior Community in St. Cloud, Minnesota on Wednesday, March 2. A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, March 8 at 12:00 pm at the Church of Christ in Staples. Visitation will be Monday evening, March 7, from 5-7 pm at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Randall was born on February 11, 1948, in Glencoe, Minnesota, to Howard and Eileen (Krecklau) Mielke. Randall was confirmed at the first Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. After graduation in 1966, he moved to Staples and attended the Vocational School for Drafting and Tool and Die. He went on to work at the Staples 3M for 30 years as a machinist. Randall was a gun collector, a member of The Sportsman's Club and the Browerville Snowmobile club. Randall enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycles, John Deere tractors, and growing and selling sweet corn.

Randall is survived by his mother, Eileen, siblings, Mary Mielke, Mavis (Tim)McGee, Joel (Barbara) Mielke, Jeffrey Mielke, and David (Cindy) Mielke, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard, an infant brother, Michael, and nephew, Patrick.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The American Cancer Society or The American Lung Association.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
