Ralph D. Ziebarth, Sr., 93, of Crosby died Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 29 at Mission of the Cross Lutheran Church in Crosslake. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Graveside services and interment will be held at the Crystal Lake Cemetery (Penn and Dowling Ave. N - MPLS) on Thursday, August 30 at 11:00 AM.
On January 13, 1919, Ralph was born in Minneapolis, the son of George E. and Pearl (Denzer) Ziebarth. He served his country in WWII as a US Marine. Following his honorable discharge, Ralph worked as a Whole Produce Foreman before becoming owner and operator of Capital Fruit and Produce in St. Paul. He retired in 1977, and moved to the Crosslake area where he had been summering since the early 1940s. A member of the Mission of the Cross Lutheran Church, Ralph also enjoyed the outdoors - hunting and pursuing his true love: fishing.
Ralph will be missed by her his children, Ralph D. (Janet) Ziebarth, Jr., Susan C. (Gary) Phillips, Dan A. (Janie) Ziebarth, and Douglas L. (Kathy) Ziebarth; grandchildren, Cindy, Denise, Christine, Jeremy, Chrisy, Clinton, and CalleyMarie; nine great-grandchildren; and loving friend, Marjorie Reinking. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Pearson); mother, Pearl (and Emil) Danielson; sisters, Georgia Eggert and Virginia Hoff; and grandson, Michael Ziebarth.
