Quinton Smoot

Quinton Randall Smoot, age 29, of Pequot Lakes, took his last breath on this earth on Saturday, May 3, 2014, due to medical complications. He was the son of Randall Smoot and Joy Smoot, born July 12, 1984, in Brainerd. Quinton was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. He graduated from Pine River/Backus High School in 2003 and the Central Lakes College Welding program in 2004. Quinton enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a sports freak, especially when it came to football and basketball.

Quinton is survived by his father, Randall Smoot of Greene, IA; his mother, Joy Smoot of Pine River; brother, Matthew Smoot of Moose Lake; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Floyd Smith; and his “Uncle Bear”, Floyd David Smith.

Memorial services will be 3 PM on Thursday, May 8, at Pequot Lakes Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
