Phyllis Larson

Phyllis Larson, 78, of Brainerd, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Brainerd. The funeral services for Phyllis will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 1:00 pm at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Pastor Andy Smith will be officiating the service and a luncheon will follow.
Phyllis was born February 11, 1928 in Mantorville to Charles and Irene (Andrews) Quammen. Phyllis married Elwyn Larson in Rochester in 1948. Phyllis worked as a bookkeeper for many years. After her retirement, Phyllis has lived in the Lakes Area for the past 35 years. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. She also loved to bake and might have made more cookies than anyone.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Oatey, of Pittsburgh, PA; her brother Michael Arndt, of Brainerd; her sisters, Katherine Cox, of CA and Genevia Smith, of CA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Elwyn in 2004.
