Phyllis Ann Foster

Phyllis Ann Foster, 77, of Staples, passed away on January 13, 2023, at her home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.

Phyllis was born on August 6, 1945, to Anton and Darlene (Modrow) Knosalla in Staples, MN. Soon after high school graduation, Phyllis married and eventually moved to Spokane WA where they built a new house and raised their 2 sons. After 25 years she returned to Staples & worked at Lakewood Care Center & Pine Assisted Living until her retirement.

Phyllis loved taking long rides in the country, working with ceramics, gardening and cooking. Phyllis enjoyed working with people and helping others. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones & friends.

Phyllis is survived by her son Jeffrey (Polly) Foster; grandsons Nick Foster, Anthony Foster, and Tyler Foster; sister Linda (Lynn) Dukowitz, sister-in-law Catherine Knosalla, close friend John Cain, and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her son Todd Foster, parents Anton and Darlene Knosalla, brother John Knosalla and niece Kristi Dukowitz.
