Phyllis Cooper

Phyllis Emerson Cooper, 91, of Bemidji, MN, died Monday, December 22, 2008 at North Country Region Hospital in Bemidji. A remembrance will be held at 3 PM, Monday, December 29, 2008 at Neilson Place with Reverend Linnea Papke-Larson officiating.
Cremation will be handled by Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter, MN. Phyllis ashes will be interred near her mother and father at the Chapel of the Pines Columbarium in Los Angeles, CA.

Phyllis was born February 24, 1917 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Richard and Ruby (Bither) Golden. Phyllis married her first husband, Roland Drexler in 1937. She married her second husband, A. William BillCooper in 1965. Phyllis left Minnesota in the early 1950s with her children, living in California until she returned to Minnesota in June of 1998 to settle in Bemidji. She lived at Gold Pine Home until her move to Neilson Place in August of 2005.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Ed) Schmuch, of Bemidji and sons, Dale (Jeanne) Drexler, of Murrieta, CA and Gary (Marye) Drexler, of Irving, TX, and 3 granddaughters, 1 great granddaughter and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Harriet Stauss and Audrey Cyr; her brother, Bob Golden; grandson, Doug Drexler and both husbands.
