Phillip Holbrook

Phillip Paul Holbrook, age 49, of Brainerd, Minnesota, passed away on February 19th, 2024. He was born September 6th, 1974, in Brainerd, Minnesota. 

Phil was the kind of person that everyone couldn’t help but like. He was kind, funny and thoughtful. There are so many people that loved and will miss him, his dumb dad jokes and random trivia knowledge.

Phil was also so creative, having a collection of poems, stories and even short films that he’d written. He was passionate about movies, whether that meant watching or working on writing his own. He was the original writer and director of TILT, a feature film that he was able to show at the local theater. 

Phil is survived by his two children, Millie Holbrook and Henrie Holbrook; his fiancée, Michelle Johnson-Ding and her children, Vincent, Max, August and Sylvia; his parents, Diana and Bruce Holbrook; his sisters, Kaci Holbrook, Sacha (Josh) Larson; his nephews Waylon Larson and Jackson Larson; his brother Kyle (Meleah) Holbrook; his nieces, Halyn Holbrook and Haddy Holbrook; various aunts, uncles, cousins and many more people who will never forget how he touched their lives. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Holbrook, John Newman and Oleta Norlund.

Funeral services will be held at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, Minnesota. Wake on Monday, 2/26, 5pm-7pm. Viewing and service on Tuesday, 2/27, 11am and 12pm.
