Peter Maurer

Peter Maurer 58, was born in Little Falls, Minnesota to Edward and Caroline (Reisinger) Maurer on September 30, 1956. He passed away on August 17, 2015 surrounded by his family. Peter was a 1974 graduate of Little Falls High School.

Peter was a well respected Master Carpenter, Hunter and fisherman and a "finder of agates and mushrooms". He traversed the 48 states in his youth, making his home in Las Vegas, NV and Little Falls, MN.

Peter had many grand adventures with many good friends. A loyal friend, he loved well and was well loved. He touched the lives of others and made a difference. A simple man, he placed value in non-material thing. He loved the outdoors and there he found solace. He was passionate in what he believed.

He is survived by his daughter, Aja. Mother; Caroline, brothers; Jerry, Kevin, Philip, Galen, and sisters; Caroline and Franny and their spouses; Kathy, Julie, Jeannie, Joe, Perry and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday August 23, 2015 from 1-5pm at Philip and Jeannie Maurer's at 5186 N. Koering Road Brainerd, MN 56401. A ceremony to honor Peter's life will be held at 2:00pm with a luncheon to follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall, MN.
