Peter Clabo

Peter Eugene Clabo Jr., 84, of Brainerd, MN died Monday, July 1, 2019 at Good Samaritan Society-Bethany in Brainerd, MN. Services for Peter will be 11:00AM, Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Oak Street Chapel in Brainerd, with Pastor Todd Wooden officiating. Visitation will be 5-8PM, Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Peter was born June 20, 1935 in Brainerd, MN to Peter and Lillian (Maki) Clabo. He served in the US Navy. Peter was united in marriage to Ruth Violett in 1958 in Browerville, MN. Peter owned Clabo Construction Company, a cable splicing business, before working for the City of Brainerd. Peter was an avid fisherman and hunter. More than anything, Peter loved his wife, Ruth of 58 years and his children and grandchildren.

Peter will be missed by his children, Dan Clabo, Dawn (Ricky) Ridgeway, Lynn (Ed) Camara; grandchildren, Jim (Erica) Clabo and Darren (Jennie) Clabo;  great grandchild, Croy Clabo; step-grandchildren, Matthew Ridgeway, Morgan Barry, Mike and Brody Camara; siblings, Marilyn Heinke, “Marie” Ree (Pat) Murphy, and  Marian Clabo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Lillian Clabo; wife, Ruth; and brother, Joel.
