Pete Yungbauer, age 76, of Pequot Lakes, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Essentia Health Care, Brainerd. He was born to John and Amalia Jungbauer on August 16, 1935, in Wadena County, MN. Pete married Audrey Kruger on June 3, 1961, at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton. They operated a dairy farm near Wadena for 30 years, then owned Pete's Small Engine Repair. Pete enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing music.
Pete is survived by his wife, Audrey; children: Louise (Brian) Flickinger, Jeffrey (Angie), Irene Pearson, Janice (Edwin) Schmitz, Mark (Michelle), Sandra (Jason) Burmeister, Susan (Troy) Bettin, Jane (Mark) Huston, Dale (Eileen), Glen (Tamara); daughter-in-law, Earleen; 36 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; brothers, John and Albert; sisters, Lucy Braith and Betty Kern.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; sister, Ernestina Kern; and brother, Joseph.
Services will be 11 AM on Friday, May 11, at St. Alice Catholic Church, Pequot Lakes, with Father George Zeck officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 PM, with Rosary at 7 PM, at Kline Funeral Home, 30208 Lilac Drive, Pequot Lakes. Burial will be 3:30 PM on Friday, at St. Hubert's Cemetery, Bluegrass, MN.
