Pearl Hazel Radtke, age 76, of Brainerd, Minnesota, died Wednesday, October 17, 2001 at Woodhaven Senior Community in Brainerd. Services will be private at a later date, with interment at Burge Cemetery in New London, Iowa.
Pearl Hazel Penoyer was born November 23, 1924, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, to Roy and Myrtle (Farmer) Penoyer. She was married to Aaron Fredrick Schmidt on June 8, 1948, in Windom, Minnesota. She worked as a homemaker. Widowed, she later married Clarence Radtke. As an adult, she lived in Wilder, Windom, and Jackson, Minnesota, before moving to the Woodhaven Senior Community in Brainerd. She was an active member of the Assembly of God church for many years.
Pearl Radtke is survived by a sister Audrey Knowlton of Dallas, TX; two granddaughters Jennifer and Kasi Lenz, of Mt. Pleasant, IA. and Gregory Lenz also of Mt. Pleasant, IA; Her parents, two husbands, and her daughter, Daisy Schmidt Lenz, preceded Pearl in death.
