Pearl Kirk

Pearl Lydia Kirk, 87, known to many as Pat Kirk, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Prior Lake, MN at the home of her daughter. Funeral services for Pearl will be 11:00AM, Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Lakewood Church in Baxter, with Pastor Brian Erickson officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-7PM, Friday, February 1st at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will take place at Baxter City Cemetery.

Pearl was born to Gertrude (Hannenburg) and Merenus Kiel on November 6, 1931 in Bock, MN where she grew up and attended school. In 1950 she married Monte Kirk of Forreston, MN. They moved to the Brainerd area and had their daughter Connie in 1955 and their son Jode in 1957.

Pearl is survived by her daughter, Connie (David) Engan; daughter-in-law, Julia Kirk; granddaughter, Jessica Kirk; grandson, Brian (Jenna) Kirk; sisters, Ruth Cobb, Lillian Unger, Beverly Katchmazenski; brother, Wayne (Kathy) Kiel; former sister-in-law, Beatrice Kiel, and many nieces and nephews. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Monte Kirk; her parents, Merenus and Gertrude Kiel; her son, Jode Kirk; brother, Douglas (Sharlyn) Kiel; brother-in-laws, Merle (Louise) Kirk, and Claude (Betty) Kirk. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to Susan G. Komen Fight for the Cure; Leukemia and Lymphoma Society; Heartland Hospice or Lakewood Church. Services have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
