June 13, 1919 — February 29, 2012

Pearl Collett, 92, formerly of Pillager, died Monday February 29, 2012 at Good Samaritan Village-Woodland. Funeral services will be Friday, March 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Rev Blaine MacNeil officiating, interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager. The relatives will receive friends from 12:30 till the time of services at Brenny's. There will be a reception in Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room from noon till the time of services.

Pearl was born on June 13, 1919 in St. Cloud, MN to Edward and Sarah (Jenkins) Ackerson. She was united into marriage to Frankie Collett on October 8, 1938 in Motley. Following her husbands death she sold Avon, worked for Maddens, Pillager Bank and Pillager Post Office. Pearl enjoyed oil painting, fishing, and dancing. She also loved bowling and was a pool shark.

Pearl is survived by her daughter, Jean (Dennis) Carlson of South Haven, MN and their children, Bonnie Fredrickson, Julie Carlson, Daniel Carlson, Denise Carlson Rasset, Melanie (Ronald) Roessler, Joyce (Keith) Janisch, Mark (Teresa) Carlson, and Becky Carlson Mills; daughter, Joanne Groves of Pillager, MN and her children, Jeffrey (Julie) Groves and Dawn (Scott ) Mudgett; daughter, Mary (Stan) Mudgett of Cushing, MN and their children, Lance (Julie) Mudgett and Renae Makarrall; son, LeRoy "Butch" (Connie) Collett of Cushing, MN and their children, Jared and Melissa Collett; daughter, Margie (David) Puetz of Pillager, MN; daughter, Marsha (Dave) Johnson of Brainerd, MN and their children, Sarah and Janel Johnson and Reid (Laura) Johnson; sisters, Grace Pietz, Jeanette Fornshell, and Edith Pietz all of Pillager, MN; many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frankie; two brothers, Roy and Jess Ackerson; son-in-law Allen Groves; and one great-grandchild and her pets, Patches and Scooby.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
