Paula DeGroot

Paula (Tomaszewski) DeGroot, 91, passed away peacefully at Senior Class Community Assisted Living facility in Pequot Lakes on Aug 17th, 2024.

 Paula was born on July 26th, 1933, in LaSalle Illinois and relocated to Minnesota in the early 1950’s. Paula was a Registered Nurse and spent 40 years caring for others as a floor nurse, nursing vocational instructor, Director of Nurses and as a Nursing Consultant. 

Paula is survived by her brother, Don Tomaszewski and spouse Mary of Orland Park; and 4 children, Debbie Prodahl and Mike, Rob DeGroot and Holly, Norma Johnston and Mac, and Mike DeGroot and Amy. She was the beloved grandmother of Stacey, Ryan, Brandon, Alisha, and Taylor. Paula was blessed with 8 great grandchildren, Brayden, Brooklyn, Jace, Kennedy, Quinn, Gavin, Eli, and Isabelle. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at St. Alice Catholic Church in Pequot Lakes, MN. Visitation will be the hour prior to the service.
