Paul Sahli

On October 4th, 2016 we lost the strongest, most generous man we know. Paul Leroy Sahli, age 88, passed quietly in his sleep with loving wife and family at his side.

Paul was an honest, hardworking man beginning with a three year career in the United States Air Force (1948-1951), several years ranching in Montana, butchering for a local grocer in Montana (where he first got his start in the sausage making business, it was such a hit he couldn't keep up with demand) then on to many road and commercial construction projects in Minnesota including the iconic IDS Center in Minneapolis.

Paul loved hunting and fishing and spent many years pursuing this passion with his children, relatives and friends. He was most passionate about his family. He is survived by beloved wife of 64 years of marriage, Irene Sahli; two children Bruce Sahli (Mary), and Howard Sahli (Kim), two grandchildren Brandon Sahli (Jodi) and Brooke Sahli (John). He lived a long full life and believed he was the most fortunate man in the world to have such wonderful family and friends. He will be remembered always for his selfless giving with no need for reward or recognition.

Visitation will be held at Brenny Funeral Chapel, 13782 County Road 36, Crosslake, MN at 10:30am on October 15, 2016. A funeral service will follow at 11:30. Lunch will be served at Maucieri's Restaurant in Crosslake immediately after the funeral service.
