Paul Richard McGillivray, age 79, of Yuma, AZ, died Sunday at the Yuma Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Hill Cemetery. Relatives will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 to 8 at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. Paul Richard McGillivray was born in Staples on April 12, 1924 to Alex and Maude (Goodrich) McGillivray. He grew up in and attended Staples school through the eighth grade. He served his country during World War II, after his honorable discharge he worked as a truck driver. Paul was a member of the American Legion & Teamsters. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gardening and fishing. Paul is survived by his wife; Bette of Yuma, AZ, Children; Richard of Ft. Hood, TX, Roxanne Jones, Cushing, OK, step-children; Benjamin, Paul, Doris, Betty Ann, Diane Smith, Raymond Nystol, Bernetta Jones, 11 brothers and sisters, 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Services have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Home of Staples.
