Paul Martin Winkelman

Paul Martin Winkelman, age 91, Venice, Florida (formerly of Pequot Lakes and Richfield, MN) passed away peacefully on November 29, 2022.  Memorial services will be at Crosslake Lutheran Church in Crosslake, MN at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Visitation will take place one hour prior to services.  Burial will be in the Pequot Lakes City Cemetery.

Paul was born August 29, 1931 to parents Howard Winkelman and Frances (Larson) Winkelman in Marion, ND.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  Paul graduated from Pequot Lakes High School in 1949.

On November 1, 1952, Paul married Marlys Hanson.  They recently celebrated their 70 year anniversary.

Paul attended Dunwoody Institute 5 years in Minneapolis.  He was a Life Member of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry for 68 years.   Paul was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved his home at the lake!

Paul was a Melvin Jones Fellow Lions club recipient in Crosslake and worked many years for Habitat for Humanity.

Grateful for having shared Paul’s life are many family members including his daughter, Wendy (Bill) Bultinck; son Brad (Jody) Winkelman, and son Mike (Hannah) Winkelman.  They have 6 grandchilden:  Erin (Nick) Engen, Kelly (Matt) Bliss, Paul Bellesen, Kyle (Alysha) Winkelman, Nikki (Jeffery) Hanson and Grace (Taylor) Kohn.  He also has 6 great grandchildren: Molly, Hazel, Leah, Colin, Griffin, and Lincoln.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Howard & Frances, brother Richard and sister, Grace Bjornson.

Paul was loved by everyone.  He will truly be missed. Blessed be his memory.
