Patrick Shanahan

Patrick Erin Shanahan, of Staples, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 30 at 2pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Staples. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service.

Patrick was born on November 10, 1987, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. He graduated from Chaska High School in Chaska with the class of 2005. Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served his country with honor. After discharge from his military service Patrick relocated to Staples, MN and quickly made it his new home. He worked as a CNA for Lakewood Health System working on their Lakewood Reflections team. Patrick loved his job and his work family and worked there until his untimely passing.

Patrick is survived by his cat Carrot, his sister Amanda and husband Kevin, sister Cathryn, Father Patrick, stepmother Karol, stepbrother Jeremy (Erin) Macheel, and stepsister Heidi (Rob) Dorfner. He is also survived by his Grandma Vee and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his mother Shana (Strom).

Patrick's ashes will be laid to rest at Camp Ripley at a later date.
