Patrick R. Montague, age 80, of Pequot Lakes, passed away Saturday morning at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.
In Loving Memory of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle a Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at St. Alice Catholic Church of Pequot Lakes with Father George Zeck officiating. A Wake Service will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Brenny Family Funeral Home of Pequot Lakes, Parish Prayers will be at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to Services at Church on Wednesday. Interment will be Thursday at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at Little Falls.
Patrick Richard Montague was born April 29, 1926, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Arthur and Ruth (Johnson) Montague. He grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from De LaSalle High School. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre. Returning to Minneapolis after the war he went to work for Onan Company. On July 12, 1980, he was united in marriage to Helen Grabner in the Rose Gardens of Harriet Island in St. Paul. Upon retiring in 1988 they moved to Gods Countrynear Pequot Lakes. He was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church, American Legion Post # 49 of Pequot Lakes, and a lifetime member of VFW Post #3839 of Jenkins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ruth; (?) Patrick is survived by Helen, his loving wife of 26 years; children, Paula Montague of Minneapolis, Denise (Tony) Gabriel of Brooklyn Center, Gwenn Smith of St. James, Patrick W. (Cosette) Montague of New Brighton, Mark (Rachel) Montague of Ramsey, Mike (Becky) Montague of Fridley, Jody (Tim) Auck of Andover, Ray Auck of Hesperia, CA, Ron (Tami) Auck of Rim Forest, CA, and Jeana (Shawn) Lewis of Albertville; grandchildren, Tiffany (Matt), Ray Jr., Bryan, Justin, Steven, Kari, Kelly, Anthony, Annette, Samuel, Cassandra, John, Hayden, Brandon, Gabriel, Katie, Troy, Alec, and Alyssa; brothers, Edward Montague of Bowie, MD and William (Lois) Montague of Bloomington, MN.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel of Pequot Lakes.
