Patricia Schroeder

Patricia Ann “Patty” Schroeder, age 87, of Pine River, passed away on November 6, 2023, at Edgewood Vista, Brainerd. She was born to Charles and Isabell Eddy on October 3, 1936, in Chariton, IA. Patty grew up in Minneapolis and spent 2 years at the U of M before becoming a flight attendant for North Central Airlines. She married Paul Schroeder in 1959. They lived in Cleveland, OH, Des Moines, IA, Dundee, IL, Bettendorf, IA, and finally on the Whitefish Chain between Pequot Lakes and Pine River. 

Patty loved all sports including tennis, water and snow skiing and camping. Her passions were rug hooking, rug braiding, painting and Early American antiques. She was an outstanding cook and loved to entertain. Patty was very active at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend and will be deeply missed.

Patty is survived by her husband of 64 years, Paul; children: Jenny Schechter (Randy), Jackie Schroeder, Jeff Schroeder (Cara); grandchildren: Ian, Corbin, Jake, Lucy, Ellie and Gracie; and sister, Kristine Jackson.
Services will be 2 PM on Saturday, November 18, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Corcoran, MN, at a later date. The service will be livestreamed on the Gloria Dei Church Facebook page.
