Patricia Larson

October 30, 1938 — October 27, 2018

Patricia Yvonne Larson, 79, of Cushing, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Services for Pat will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 5, 2018 at Lincoln Evangelical Free Church. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Scandia Valley Cemetery near Lake Alexander.

Pat was born October 30, 1938, in Appleton, MN, the daughter of Arland and Thomina DeLong. At the age of 14, Pat began working in healthcare. Her experience as a Candy Striper motivated her to put her self through nursing school and receive a Degree in Nursing from the Minneapolis School of Nursing. Her skills as a registered nurse were put to use all over the world as she traveled as part of a military family. Her ability to see so many cultures fed her love of travel and she continued to take adventures and vacations. Her mission trip to Jamaica and her visit to Israel were some of her favorites. Her love of helping people extended to her home life, where her sons’ friends became extended family members.

Pat loved to be around people, especially her family. She enjoyed music and shared a love of Neil Diamond with her husband, Gary Larson. Pat’s faith was strong and she loved and looked forward to meeting her Lord.

She will be missed by her sons, Bryan (Barbara) Tollefson and Jeff (Julie) Tollefson; grandchildren, Lisa, Jason (Breanne), Mark (Bobbi Leigh), and Eric; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Gail DeLapp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; parents; and brothers, Robert and Floyd DeLong.
