Patricia (Trich/Pat) Ann (Schroeder) Hooge, 72, entered into the presence of the Lord on March 26, 2025. She was born on May 28, 1952, a date that marked the beginning of a life filled with kindness, love, gratitude, and generosity.
Trich's lasting legacy is one of selfless devotion to her family and friends. Daily prayers and giving of her time and energy to those she loved were hallmarks of her character. She truly lived her values and served others. Trich was blessed with the gift of hospitality. She often provided meals to bless family, friends, and those in need. She gave her time to read scripture and visit the elderly. She also blessed others with encouraging letters and cards. She was generous with her time and served others almost endlessly. She lived with a smile and a sacrificial heart to serve others. Her grandkids were one of her greatest blessings.
Trich was an awesome grandma. She always provided endless snacks and amazing food to ensure that the grandkids would never go hungry. She made grandkid days fun with projects including legos, crafts, saving large boxes to make forts, and baking her famous butterscotch chocolate chip cookies. Some grandkid memories include mini Ford truck rides to the park, the annual Easter Egg hunt and Halloween celebration, going to pick out movies at Family Video, and the annual grandkids’ camping trip. Guided by her deep-seated faith, Trich's greatest lesson to those around her was “To love Jesus”. Her strong faith was evident in every aspect of her life and continues to inspire her loved ones.
Trich is survived by her loving husband, Phil Hooge, who stood by her side in a testament of enduring love and companionship. Her mother, Glendeen Schroeder/Harms, brother, Steve (Sandy) Schroeder, sisters, Joyce Tews, Marlene (Mike) Emmert, and sister-in-law, Monica Schroeder. Her legacy continues in her sons, Jesse (Sara) Hooge, Jeremy (Kerri) Hooge, and grandchildren, Jakeb Hooge, Christian Hooge, Joshua Hooge, Caleb Hooge, Lynneigh (Darrin) Middendorf, Noah Vrooman, and Jasey Hooge. Each of them has been touched by the vibrant spirit and unwavering love Grandma Trich showered on them.
Trich was reunited with her father, Robert Schroeder, and her brother, Stan Schroeder in heaven.
Trich's passing is a loss, yet we find comfort in the lessons she taught us and the love she shared. She will forever be remembered as a beacon of kindness and love and an embodiment of faith in Jesus Christ. Her lasting impact on those blessed to have known her will ensure that her prayers will continue to bless and provide for generations to come. While we say goodbye today, we rejoice that she is home with our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
