Patricia Gaffke

Patricia Gaffke, age 74, of Randall, died Saturday, November 06, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 10th at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church in Randall with Father Leo Moenkedick officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday evening from 5-8PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall with Parish Prayers at 7:45 PM. There will also be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be at St. James Cemetery in Randall.

Pat was born, raised and lived her life in the Randall area. On July 13, 1954, she was united in marriage to Gene Gaffke. To this union five children were born. Pat and Gene enjoyed over 50 years of marriage. Pat began her working career at Munsingwear and Camp Ripley. She and Gene purchased the hardware store in Randall, living and raising their children above the store and operated the store for over 36 years. In recent years, Pat worked at the Randall VFW. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards, and especially gardening and canning. Her family will remember her as a hard worker and someone who was always there when they got home from school. They loved the way Pat and Gene worked so well together and were always together at work and play.

Pat is mourned in passing by children, Brian (Melanie) Gaffke of Sauk Rapids, Douglas (Angela) Joseph-Gaffke of Dane, WI, Lynn (Jeff) Samler of Fort Ripley, Steve (Angela) Gaffke of Sauk Rapids, and Tammy (and Chris) Schulte of Little Falls; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald (Donna) Andres, James (Helen) Andres, Walter (Patricia) Andres, Robert (Sherry) Andres, Christine (Gene) Lucy, Cecelia Kempenich, Frank (Judy) Andres, and Charley (Mary) Andres, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; her parents, Frank and Christine (Bentler) Andres; and her brother, Richard Andres and his wife, Carol; brother-in-law, Jerome Kempenich.
