Patricia Borman

Patricia Ann Borman, age 52, of Backus, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 14, 2011, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born to Claude and Anna Blanchard in Park Rapids, MN, on August 19, 1958. She graduated from Pine River High School in 1976. Patty married Pat Borman on August 26, 1985, in Sisseton, SD. She was employed by Pine River-Backus schools working in the kitchen. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Backus. Patty was a mother and caretaker to all children, especially her grandson, who was the light of her life.

Patty is survived by her husband, Pat; son, Ross Borman (Alicia); grandson, Bryce Borman; mother, Anna Johanning (James); brothers: Richard Blanchard (Donna Dwire), Jimmy Dale Blanchard (Carol Johnson), Howard Blanchard (Jill); sisters: Violet LeFebvre (Brad), Kaylene Long (Mark Zitzloff), Susie Christensen (Tim Clover); stepbrother, Alan Johanning (Tina); stepsister, Claudette Holder (Al); many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, and sister-in-law, Grace Blanchard.

Services will be 10 AM on Tuesday, July 19, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Backus, with Pastor Ronald Carnicom officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Backus. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 PM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Backus.
