Pat Kehr, 60, of Brainerd, died August 8, 2007 at the Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM, Friday, August 10, 2007 at the St. Francis Church in Brainerd with Pats brother, Father Dick Bresnahan officating. Friends are welcome to visit from 4 until 7 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter Thursday, August 9. Interment to follow services at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Patricia Ann Bresnahan was born November 15, 1946 to Farley and Miriam (Vermeersch) Bresnahan in Pekin, IL. Pat attended the St. Francis School of Nursing in Evanston, IL where she obtained her RN in 1967. Pat continued her education later in life when she received her BSN from Bemidji State University in 1994 graduating Magna Cum Laude. She was united in marriage to Dr. Roland Kehr September 6, 1969 in Pekin, IL. Pat loved being in the beauty of nature, designing cards and candles with pressed flower petals, traveling, and music especially, playing in the bell choir at St. Francis Catholic Church. Pat was author of two articles published in the Brainerd Lakes Area magazine, Her Voice: Listen to the Cattailsand The Healing Journey. Pat exhibited an amazing spirit of joy and hope in the midst of her many challenges with lung cancer. Her winning smile and spirit of enjoying simple pleasures was contagious. Her willingness to help in whatever way possible and her interest in others will always be treasured. Pat is survived by her husband, Dr. Roland Kehr, of Brainerd; her chidren, Nathan (Dawn) Kehr, of Gilbert, AZ and Brian Kehr, of Oklahoma City, OK; her grandchildren, Madison and Hunter; her sisters, Rita Bresnahan, of Seattle, WA and Mary Smoluch, of Eugene, OR; and her brothers, Father Dick Bresnahan, of Moline, IL and Dr. Jerry Bresnahan, of Los Angeles, CA. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Bob. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Pat will be sorely missed.
