Oscar Rodean

Oscar W. "Ossie" Rodean, resident of Bethany Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN, was born Sept. 10, 1941, and died Sept. 2, 2016, both events occurring at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Brainerd. Ossie spent most of his nearly 75 years in Jenkins, MN, living on Willowhurst Farm, the family farm of his parents, Oscar and Emma Rodean, who preceded him in death. Ossie served two years in the US Army and attended the University of Minnesota.

He is survived by his older brother, Howard Rodean (Lavonne) of Danville, CA, and two older sisters, Adeline Pedersen and Juliette Mortenson, both of the Twin Cities. He was blessed with 14 nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ossie was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Ben Pedersen and Don Mortenson.

Memorials may be given to Our Savior's Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 8 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes where he has been a faithful lifelong and active member. Service at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior.
