Orville Gibbs

Orville Gibbs, age 93, of Pine River, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 5, 2015. He was born to Robert and Grace Gibbs on December 5, 1921, in Crow Wing County, MN. Orville was a hard worker and farmed in Pine River most of his life, as well holding many other jobs. Orville was active at Mildred Bible Chapel serving in several positions. Orville loved being outside and enjoyed camping, fishing, and snowmobiling with his family. He loved his family very much and was very proud of his wife and two sons and their families. He loved hard work and always had a joke to share. Words cannot express how much we will miss him!

Orville is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elsie; his two sons, Daniel (Tina) of Gembu, Nigeria and Jim of Brainerd; as well as grandchildren: Andrew, Robert (Katie), Bobbie Jo and Randy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Willis.

A celebration of Orville's life will be at 11 AM on Saturday, September 12 at Mildred Bible Chapel with a lunch following. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM on Friday at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Mildred Cemetery.
