Opal McConnell

Opal "Neola" McConnell, 89, of Garrison, formerly, of Minneapolis, MN, passed into the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 25, 2010. Neola was born January 2, 1921, in Little Sauk, the daughter of Charles and Mable (Johnson) Aldrich. Her parents and infant sister, Doris preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Leland; daughters, Callie (Robert) Pruss, of Mpls and Rebecca (Robert) Nielsen, of Albert Lea; grandchildren, Ashley McConnell Almond and Whitney Nielsen; sister, Merlyne Bissell, of Verndale; brothers, Orris (Marge) Aldrich, of Baxter and Myron (Lois) Aldrich, of Owatonna; sister-in-law, Hazel Lewis, of Elk River; brother-in-law, Loren Simmons, of Pine River; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, March 18, 2011 at Emmanuel Christian Center (7777 NE University Ave - Mpls). Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior. Private Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
