Ollis OleNelson, 73, of Crosslake, died Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at his home. Services for Ole are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 29 at Crosslake Lutheran Church. Friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Ollis L. Nelson was born December 11, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Orville and Mary (Hoder) Nelson. The family moved to Portage, WI where Ole grew up and graduated from high school. He proudly served four years in the United States Air Force; he spent three of those years in Germany. Ole was united in marriage to Roberta December 10, 1960. The couple lived in the Lake Minnetonka area where Ole worked for Minnetonka Electric for 30 years. In 1996, he retired from Gephart Electric. Ole and Roberta moved to Crosslake.

Ole was a member if IBEW 292, Crosslake American Legion, Post 500, and a past member of Excelsior American Legion, Post 259.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Roberta; his children, Laurie (Kim) Reinhart, of Minnetrista, Scott (Ingrid) Nelson, of St. Louis Park, Brian (Kerry) Nelson, of Mound, and Christine (Bob) Nelson, of Mound; his eight grandchildren, Mac, Ashley, Taylor, Morgan, Riley, Jake, Dylan, and Logan; his brothers, Floyd (Yasini) Nelson, of Portage, WI, Charles (Pat) Nelson, of Portage, WI, Harold (Judy) Nelson, of Sun Prairie, WI; and his sister, Nora (Marty) Dwyer, of Tampa, FL.
