Norman Robert Anderson,
of Ironton, passed away Friday,September 2, 2016. Committal services with military honors will be at Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery, near Camp Ripley, on Thursday, September 8, at 1 PM. A reception will follow, at the Brainerd VFW. Norman was born May 20, 1948 in Brainerd, to Robert and Bernice Anderson. He was a 1966 graduate of Brainerd High School, and graduated from Brainerd Junior College in Landscaping. He served in Intelligence in the Army, and was in Vietnam from 1970-1973. He worked for the Budweiser Company for thirty years, retiring in 2013. Norman leaves behind two sons, Jeremiah and Ryan Lorenz; a brother, Wayne Roemhildt and sister, Bonne (Anderson) Roemhildt; four nieces and a nephew; and many wonderful comrades who have been there for him throughout the years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a younger sister, Kerry Coates. Special gratitude goes to “JB” Jim Bartholomaus and his wife Deb, for their unwavering care and support.
