Norma Willson

Norma Dorothy Willson, 89, of Deerwood, MN died at her home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Services for Norma will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 12:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN with visitation beginning at 11:00AM at the chapel.

Norma was born on December 1, 1926 in Rugby, ND to Olaf and Anna (Engstrom) Blegen. She married Phillip Willson. Norma worked at Medtronics for 25 years and also as a beautician. She was very involved in her church, teaching Sunday school and singing in the choir. Norma enjoyed puzzles, playing scrabble, crocheting, and sewing. She also liked playing cards with the golden girls and fishing. Norma's greatest joy was being with her family watching the Minnesota Twins.

Norma is survived by her children, Sherry Mount of Anoka, MN, Jeanne (Dennis) Roden of Deerwood, MN, and Duane Willson of Deerwood, MN; grandchildren, Christina Wood, Alyson (Quinn) Reddig, April Gulso, Joseph (Stephanie) Gulso, Jeffrey Wood, Michael Wood, and Karis Mount; nine great-grandchildren; sister Ellen Wawers, and brother, Paul Blegen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Olaf Blegen; husband, Phillip; three infant babies; sister, Hannah Harper, Agnes Bartz, Charlotte Cummings, and Fern Blegen; and brothers, John Blegen, Harold Blegen, and Ralph Blegen.
