Nathaniel Awalt

Nathaniel Scott Awalt, 19, of Brainerd, died Friday, July 4, 2008 in East Gull Lake, MN. Services for Nathaniel will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. Friends are welcome to gather starting at 9 AM. Reception will follow services at the Old Waterfall in Brainerd. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Nathaniel was born July 6, 1988 in Robbinsdale, MN, the son of Scott and Sheree (Awalt) Korwes. After graduating from Brainerd High School, Nathaniel was employed by Landsburg Landscape Nursery, Inc. He was also continuing his education at Central Lakes College. Nathaniel enjoyed the outdoors, especially wakeboarding, fishing, hunting, snowboarding, and golfing. He also liked basketball and football.

Nathaniel will be missed by his mother, Sheree Korwes, of Brianerd; his father, Scott Korwes, of Brainerd; his brothers, Nicholas Awalt, Scotty Korwes, and Zachary Korwes; and his grandparents, Gary and Sharen LaFave, of Coon Rapids, MN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Allen Awalt, Darrell Korwes, and Shirley Korwes.
