Nancy Petrusson

Nancy Petrusson, 86, of Brainerd, MN, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, at her home in Brainerd. Born on February 18, 1939, in Staples, MN, to Clarence and Mildred (Luiten) Wold, Nancy lived a life full of love, joy, and dedication to her family.

She had a variety of passions, including playing Sudoku, tending to her garden where she grew both vegetables and beautiful flowers, and traveling with her beloved husband, Holger. Nancy also enjoyed dancing with Holger, cherishing the special moments they shared together.

Nancy’s family meant the world to her. She is survived by her children, Earl (Connie) Cooley, Steven (Karen) Cooley, Gayle (Roy) Johnson, and Cheryl (Gary) Houde; step children Carin, Ron, and Anita and their families; son-in-law Tom Ahlgrim; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren, siblings Clarence (Joyce) Wold and Jay Wold, brother in-law Richard Coy and sister in-law Dianne Wold.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Earl and Holger; her daughter, Laurie Ahlgrim; and her siblings, Gerald (Sharon) Wold, Muriel Coy, and Darrell Wold.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the love and support during this difficult time. Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.

Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
