Nancy Case

April 25, 1931 — May 7, 2012

Nancy Case, age 81, of Staples, passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital on Monday, May 7, 2012. A Funeral Service is planned for Thursday, May 10, at 1:30 PM, at Faith Lutheran Church in Staples, with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. Burial will take place in the Evergreen Hill cemetery in Staples, at a later date.

Nancy Lee Case was born on April 25, 1931, to Daniel and Marion (Kisler) Spencer, in St. Paul, MN. When she was a young girl, her family moved to Staples. She graduated from the Staples, High School in 1950. On October 4, 1952, she married Alan Case at Faith Lutheran Church. She dedicated her whole life to her family, and raised five children. She enjoyed being at the cabin and loved spending as much time as she could with her family. She loved to play the piano at home with her sisters. She also loved to cook, draw, and sew.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Alan; children, Brian (Brenda) of Waconia, Nancy (Greg) Koval of Browerville, Liz (Ted) Kraemer of Osakis, and Dayna Mertens of Staples; siblings, Charles "Lonny" Spencer, Faye "Betts" Case, Carol "Ange" Hyndman, Barb (Wayne) Longbella, Jeanie Huebner, and Dan (LaVyrle) Spencer; sister in law, Lorraine Spencer; brother in law, Harold Germann; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott; an infant son; sisters, Sue Germann and Billie Miller; and brother, Craig Spencer.
