Morris Dean Mead, 78, of Motley, passed away on May 12, 2024. A Celebration of life will take place from 12pm-2pm on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Motley Free Methodist Church, with interment to follow at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN at 3 pm.
Morris was born on August 18, 1945, to parents Charles and Angie Mead in Sunderlinville, Pennsylvania. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and worked hard for many years as a truck driver. Morris could strike up a conversation with anyone, and always had a joke ready to make you laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Morris is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda; daughters Brittany (Jonathan) Giberson, Charlene (James) Huss, Penny Trimble, and son Darrin (Holly) Mead; 12 grandchildren with one on the way; 4 great-grandchildren; father-in-law Robert (Marilyn) Muckenhirn; brothers-in-law Glen (Deb Raaf) Muckenhirn and James (Connie) Muckenhirn; sister Lena Empson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Angie Mead, sisters Karen LeBont, Barb Dieter, brother Jesse, mother-in-law Dorothy Muckenhirn, and son-in-law Eric Trimble.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
