Mitchell Koppes

Mitchell R. Koppes, age 23. of York, SC, formerly of Staples, passed away early Saturday morning as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples. Friends may call for one hour prior to services at the Church on Thursday. Mitchell Richard Koppes was born on December 27, 1984, in Staples, MN, the son of Jeffrey and Kim (Olsen) Koppes. He grew up in Staples and graduated from Staples High School. Mitch was an adventurous person who loved to travel and experience life. He was a devoted son, brother, and grandson who would do anything he could for his family. In everything he did he gave 100% of himself, always more concerned for other people than himself. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Howard and Ruth Olsen; and paternal grandmother, Donna Mae Koppes. Mitch is mourned in passing by his parents, Jeff and Kim; a sister, Nicole (Christopher) Taylor and nephew, Christopher; other sister, Dominique Koppes, all of York, South Carolina; and paternal grandparents, Richard (Jean) Koppes of Staples.
