Michael Miller

Michael "Mike" Miller, age 59, of Walker, MN, passed away at home after a 7-month battle with lung cancer on February 25, 2018. A funeral service celebrating the life of Mike Miller will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Crosslake Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior to the service and from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday evening at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, MN.

Mike was born to Duane and Ruth Miller on June 16, 1958, in Glencoe, MN, and was baptized and confirmed at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glencoe. He graduated with the Glencoe High School Class of 1976 and received a degree in Non-Destructive Testing from Willmar College.

Mike married Jody Stockman on October 24, 1992, and they were blessed with two daughters, Samantha and Barbara. Mike and Jody shared 25 years of marriage. They lived in Martinez, CA, Duluth, MN, and Breezy Point, MN, prior to moving to Walker, MN.

Mike spent the majority of his working years as a pipeline inspector. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, watching the Vikings, Twins and Gophers and spending time with family and friends.

Mike is survived by his wife, Jody; daughter, Samantha and son-in-law, Kory Eichhorst and daughter, Barbara; sisters: Deb, Pat (Rick), Kathy (David); brothers- in-law: Gary (Shelly), Brad (Nancy), Rick (Stacy), James; sister-in-law, Shelley (Ryan); many nieces and nephews; other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Ruth Miller, and brothers, Steven and Jeffrey.
