Michael Mcguire

Michael John McGuire, age 79, of Pine River, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011, at his home. He was born on June 1st, 1931, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, to John and Eilene McGuire. Michael served in the U.S. Marines Corp during the Korean War. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family on the Whitefish Chain.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary Cline McGuire, daughter, Molly Pittman, son, John (Elise) McGuire, daughter, Maggie (Rick) Trenary. Grandchildren, Sean (Chelsie) Anderson, Kaitlin (Aaron) Daeges, Christopher Prem, Alexandre Prem, Addison McGuire, Anna Trenary, Grace McGuire. Brother Patrick (Jeanette) McGuire, Sister Mary (Frank) Guskey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation in Honor of Dr. Timothy Dirks, Cardiologist, and staff, who kept our father with us as long as possible.

A celebration of Michael's life will be at the Breezy Point Resort Whitebirch Room on Wednesday, March 9th at 6:00 PM. Greet the family one hour prior.
